Overview

Released in May 2019, the Department of Health Care Services’ (DHCS) new Managed Care Accountability Set (MCAS) prescribes a set of 39 quality measures, with 19 measures subject to a 50% Minimum Performance Level (MPL) benchmark. As a result of these changes, Medi-Cal health plans and providers are under increased pressure to coordinate their quality programming and metrics. Join us for the webinar and hear from local health plan leaders who will provide a high-level overview of the MCAS and MPL, outline the priority measures for the upcoming year, and highlight considerations for clinics and health centers as implementation gets underway.

Who should attend:
Staff who perform functions that are connected to or impacted by quality improvement initiatives and activities.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn about the new Managed Care Accountability Set and the measures being prioritized for RY 2020;
  • Understand how the Minimum Performance Level will impact quality performance, monitoring, and expectations; and,
  • Learn about some of the considerations among health plans, clinics, and other providers that may arise as the new measure set is implemented.
