1:30 – 3:00 p.m., Pacific Time
An LHPC members-only program
Overview
H. R. 1 and the 2026-27 California state budget will result in significant and consequential changes to Medi-Cal eligibility and redeterminations processes, potentially resulting in loss of coverage for millions of California’s most vulnerable residents. With some changes already underway and others beginning in January 2027, local plans and their county partners are taking steps to prepare for and mitigate the administrative, operational and member impact, and strategizing ways to support members in maintaining eligibility.
Join us and learn what plans and counties are doing now to prepare for implementation of the new requirements, hear local plan approaches for retaining members and explore how counties, plans and community partners can collaboratively work to lessen the impact.
Who should attend:
Health plan staff from across all departments and levels who want to better understand the new eligibility requirements and the impacts on plans, counties and members.
