Overview

In 2025, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) began the transition to managed care plan (MCP) reporting across all value-based programs, beginning with the priority follow-up measures in QIP. DHCS released All Plan Letter (APL) 25-015, which outlines the requirements for MCPs to produce rates using the California Technical Specifications (CaTS), and recently held an informational webinar explaining these changes.

Join the LHPC Institute and California Health Care Safety Net Institute for this informational webinar where faculty will walk through how the new requirements apply to QIP and highlight the implications for MCPs and public health care systems.

Who Should Attend:
Chief Medical Officers, quality leaders and staff, and others involved with or engaged in quality data reporting efforts and activities.

Agenda

  • Terms of the APL as it applies to QIP
  • Requirements for plans and systems, including the measures and timeline for data submission
  • How plans and systems can best prepare for compliance with the APL
    • Collaborative approaches for rate production and how to address rate discrepancies
    • Implications for assigned versus unassigned measures
