CalOptima Health is a county organized health system that administers health insurance plans for more than 900,000 low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities in Orange County. CalOptima Health was created in 1993 by the Orange County Board of Supervisors to ensure the delivery of quality health care services to local residents. As the single largest health insurer in Orange County, CalOptima Health offers three programs: Medi-Cal; OneCare (HMO D-SNP), a Medicare Medi-Cal Plan; and a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Our members have access to a comprehensive network of providers that includes more than 10,000 primary care doctors and specialists and 40 acute and rehab hospitals.
