CalOptima Health
CalOptima is a county organized health system that administers health insurance programs for over 870,000 low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities in Orange County. CalOptima was created in 1993 by the Orange County Board of Supervisors to ensure the delivery of quality health care services to local residents. As the largest health insurer in Orange County, CalOptima offers four main programs for its members: Medi-Cal, OneCare Connect (a Medicare-Medicaid Plan) OneCare (a Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan) and a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Our members have access to a comprehensive network of providers that includes approximately 10,000 doctors, 550 pharmacies, and a majority of the area’s hospitals and long-term care facilities.
