Lizeth Granados
Chief Executive Officer, Health Plan of San Joaquin

As an up and coming executive in the managed healthcare field, Lizeth has a record of building highly accomplished teams dedicated to operational excellence. She quickly identifies, then helps her teams bring to life, ideas that maximize an organization’s capabilities. Lizeth came to us from Optum/HealthCare Partners (Orange County), one of HPSJ’s sister nonprofit managed care plans. In her role as senior director of IPA operations, Lizeth successfully led cross-functional Optum teams for implementation of the Whole Child Model program, Health Homes Program, and Prop. 56 initiatives.

Lizeth joined HPSJ in July of 2020 to serve as our Chief Operations Officer. As COO, Lizeth made noted enhancements and efficiencies to operational areas and implemented key initiatives including segments of CalAIM and county expansion. She has established trust and built partnerships with internal and external stakeholders as is evident with her open-door policy and her positive approach to problem solving.

In her new role, Lizeth will focus on the organizations strategic initiatives to address the changing dynamics of the Medi-Cal landscape and leading our organizations venture into establishing a D-SNP product. She will also continue our efforts to increase opportunities to support our provider partners in our care delivery and expand access to improve quality of service to our members.

Lizeth, who holds a Masters degree in Sociology and a BA in Political Science, has dedicated over a decade to improving public health. A native Californian, she now is a resident of Tracy where she is scoping out local walks in our region.
